Author Profile: Valerie Douglas

Chatting with us this week is prolific author Valerie Douglas, a genre-crossing author of over 20 titles! You might’ve read our reviews of two of her romance novels here on the site already.  If not, read what we had to say about Director’s Cut and Irish Fling right now!

Writing out of Columbus, Ohio, Valerie has written multiple titles in the fantasy, thriller, and romance categories of the fiction world. “So far,” she says, although “a western is a possibility.” Westerns or not, a library of 22 novels is nothing to sneeze at.  She’s had 5 titles published traditionally although the bulk of her work (13 titles to date) have been published independently.

A writer all her life, Valerie says she’s churned out this long list of titles in a just a decade and only began publishing them two years ago. Her inspiration, she reports, comes from her dreams, her life, and her really active fantasy life.

Her dreams must be made of some good stuff, considering the breadth of her work, including her latest release, Nike’s Wings. This political action thriller features a “kick ass heroine trained by the CIA.”  Looking for redemption, she is surprised by a chance at love. Soon, she finds her past coming back to haunt her in both good and bad ways.

Next up for this fiction powerhouse? The prequel to Heart of the Gods, an Egyptian thriller/horror novel with a hot archeologist as its star. This new novel, “Servant of the Gods” will release just in time for Halloween.

If you still can’t get enough of Valerie’s work, pick up one of her erotic romance novels, written under the pseudonym V.J. Devereaux. Her book “Cherry’s Jubilee” is listed as a Top Pick from Night Owl Romance. You may also enjoy “Special Delivery” or “Demon’s Kiss,” as you read your way through her catalog. You’ll find these titles published as ebooks by Ellora’s Cave.

Valerie’s work is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords.
